Training is always on the agenda for First Responders!
The Fall Session of the Police and Fire Chaplains Training Academy held at the Seattle Fire Department’s Training Facility and with a portion of the tactical day at the WA State Justice Training Center in Burien, graduated 18 participants from WA and CA.
For the PFCTA this marked 22 years of Chaplaincy Training, missing only one session during the Covid era. The Training Academy under the auspices of Tacoma Pierce County Chaplaincy has graduated over 1,000 Chaplains from as far away as Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Germany.
The PFTCA has remained true to its mission since envisioned by Chaplain Dan Nolta in 2000 was brought to reality by a dedicated cadre of Chaplains of provided curriculum development boasting 60 hours of knowledge and tactical based courses to prepare Chaplains for service in the jurisdictions. who send them to the Academy.
